Last game I'm doing this year. I'm exhausted.
I had three more games I could have played left - barring two more Windows games and one I had an interp problem with - but I decided to quit now. I didn't want to end on a horribly depressing game, either thematically or just by sheer broken-ness.
This was nice. It was small, but I think the plot couldn't have been extended much without significant thought. The background idea, on the other hand, is an interesting one. One has the ability, after 'death' (although it's a bit confusing as to what actually happens), to interact with a new PC. Then when he bites it, PC3 can interact with both PC1 and PC2. I hadn't seen anything quite like it before. It could be extended into time-travel, reincarnation, or sci-fi or occult telepathy/telekinesis. It's only slightly like having an NPC you can order around, because you've played the now-NPC as a PC. For depth, this is much nicer than 'Igor, sew hand on.'
As for images, I'm largely a 'don't really need 'em' sort of person. But these were nice. Custom for the game, obviously, rather than shitty clip-art. The images of the fish serve to do as much explaining as is going to happen for, well, whatever happens with regards to death in this game.
Anyhow, high end of the middle range. It's not that big, and there doesn't seem to be all that much to do, unfortunately. There aren't alternate solutions that I see, and I like that. The size is nice for the comp, but I wonder about extending this idea somehow...
